In many ways it is better than my old one which is no surprise really as this one is an HP and my old one is a Lenovo. Its quite a bit more powerful and the screen is a lot clearer. Much driving has been done a good meal was eaten with friends and my first mince pies of the seasom were consumed. I even managed to see some trains. Robbie often managed to follow us out into the garden without us knowing, causing much searching in the house. Sometimes it would be a “woof” from outside that alerted us. When out in local fields or the park I would be calling and he was usually sitting behind me doing his “Muttley” impersonation. Matthew’s rats got out a couple of times but always hid behind his computer. They were very nervous, shy pets. I know of a couple of cats that went in the gap between fitted wardrobes and the wall. One of my brother’s cats climbed the tallest Leylandii tree (allegedly) in Droitwich. He climbed up and grabbed the cat which of course didn’t appreciate being rescued and caused much blood (not feline) to be spilled. tigerburnie Posted November 15, 2019 Share Posted November 15, 2019 Evening all, over cast and mostly dry day, I went to Resteneth to the Hunt library today to view an exhibition of Angus railways, something that wasn't quite as interesting as it might have been, lack of space meant a lot of the pictures they have was not on display, I was told. However there were some interesting pictures on display, mostly of the old stations at Brechin and Kirriemuir for example, a call in at Tescos for comestibles as SWMBO is still lain low by the lurgy. I an won an auction for some ground signals, so awaiting the postie to deliver before any more muddling can take place. As for Warley, not a lot of chance of escaping - I will be on B1 - the B stands for "blue". Just watched niece in the US - courtesy of the www - and her soccer football team win the Mountain East Conference semi-final for the second year running. They have high hopes of improving upon last year, having already beaten the other two semi-finalists in regular season this year (having lost to them both last year) They are currently on a 14 game winning streak with 9 of them being 0 goals conceded. (Niece is the first choice goalie) They are 17-1 for the regular season - as is customary for most US sports - there are no full time ties/draws The Conference Final is on Sunday and they are the home team due to their results for the season. Good Luck to the Concord University Mountain Lions Womens soccer team - and go Katie! (I really must get my Xmas present to myself delivered to her before she returns - it's usually a TCS sound decoder kit.....) Today's result: Plywood 0, newbryford 1. It's much controllable, reduces fuel consumption, stops back drafts and produces more heat. You have the added advantage of knowing nothing can fall out of the fire.. It started with daughter dropping off her mutt to be looked after until son in law gets home. Late afternoon, children to be collected or to be at theirs when they arrive that being followed by a trip to the Town Fryer to get various suppers for them all (and Mr & Mrs Kingzance). At various times, children dispatched to bed and eldest grandson collected from friend’s house before their dad got in around 10:30. Eventually we arrived home so may have a short lie-in tomorrow. I wonder if the Stationmaster’s furry cat has yet been located? It’s damn cold out there tonight. Good to hear Jamie’s update but nowt from The Hill of Strawberries? Is Mrs Tigerburnie recovering, there is a very good remedy from The Edinburgh Gin Co that includes rhubarb and ginger in a solution of distilled post-fermented grains and a few other varied botanicals that I can recommend against a variety of lurgies and ailments. I am taking it, strictly for medicinal purposes you understand, as my breathing has been a little restricted in the nasal department.
