One or two have found their way onto my FB and some of the groups I inhabit there. It’s now time to inhabit the bed. Moanday is scheduled to start cold, dark and at “is that even a time?” o’ clock. I have tried the normal tool suppliers and internet search facilities without success. Can anyone help please? RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted October 20, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 20, 2019 Good evening everyone Well I got a fair bit done on the shelving today, but just as I was getting my stuff all set up, the sun went in. However, despite it being dull and cloudy for the rest of day, thankfully we didn’t get any rain. The end result is that I’ve sanded 7 large shelves, 7 small shelves and I also cut to length 2 - 6 foot scaffolding boards which have also been sanded. Everything is now ready for varnishing, which will hopefully will be started tomorrow. As we’d had a rather large meal last for tea, tonight we decided to have a much smaller meal instead, so I served up fried mushrooms and scrambled eggs on toast. After which I caught up with last nights GMRC whilst Sheila applied some nail varnish to her nails. Goodnight all 12

Two_sugars
As already reported by our Yorkshire correspondent, I attended Hartlepuddle show today, thus proving that I am not just a fig-roll of my imagination. The conversation was mainly about . . .sugar-free Lemon curd, and Pease pudding (Durham Humus) Goodnight everyone , , , Sleep well. RMweb Gold Popular Post Tony_S Posted October 21, 2019 RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted October 21, 2019 I drove from home to Enfield, on to Burton Latimer and then Solihull and back. No back ache which is nice. Aditi is looking forward to coming home (Monday afternoon). Two weeks of low protein, low fat, low carbohydrate diet have generated a request for steak and chips on her return. Tony 18
RMweb Premium Popular Post BR60103 Posted October 21, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted October 21, 2019 We tidied up the motorhome this afternoon. The people re-doing last fall's repair must have left some doors open as the storage bin was covered with dust (and some stones). Some of it has been brought home for more detailed cleaning. They also did not lock the storage unit doors or the main entry door. And some windows were left slightly open so there was dust inside.
Popular Post chrisf
Good morning one and all With no other pressing engagements for the time being I devoted much of yesterday to a combination of mucking out and frantic searching. The missing frets are still causing me to – er - fret – but I did find some other treasures. The missing DVD, delivered in February and promptly mislaid, has reappeared, so that’s something. In a carrier bag that I thought contained only rubbish was an autographed CD by the Askew Sisters that I do not remember buying and the long lost copy of “Miniature Building Construction” by John H Ahern that should have been [dis]gracing my bookshelves these many moons past. Normally I would have been at Apple Day at Bromham Mill yesterday but after last year’s debacle, when there were no apples, I decided to use the time more productively. The absence of a key stretch of road between here and there may have deterred many potential patrons: it is being rebuilt to enable the electrification of the Midland main line. I should ring my mate to find out whether the event was worth attending this year, assuming that he went of course. Instead of Sunday lunch I made a heap of pancakes. It’s not that I am fed up with steak, for surely such a state of affairs is impossible, more that I did not think to buy anything special. After my bout of good housekeeping my recycling bin is very well laden and will not be emptied again until Thursday week, so that will slow down the pace of mucking out. I realised that but for the frequent trips to the bin, when I exchanged pleasantries with the neighbours, I would have had no contact with a living human being at all yesterday. Things like that serve to highlight the fine line between solitude and loneliness. I think I’m on the right side of it, at least for now. Today there is ironing to be done. Whoopee. Best wishes to all Chris 6 1

Robert
Morning All, I am slightly later on parade this morning as I had a couple of things to sort out before I got a chance to post. Popular Post AndrewC
Greetings all from the soggy arse-end of the boring borough. A dull but productive weekend. Managed to strap my knee into its torture harness for most the time. This resulted in being able to get the last of the security camera / lights installed on Saturday. This one is in the alley way and at the edge of Wifi reach. That accelerates the long awaited plan to run some cat-7 to the shed and install another mesh node. I bought the roll of cable for £5 when Maplin was clearing out. About time I got it done. That should make a big difference. One thing discovered is there appears to be a fox den under the brambles a few doors along. Much nocturnal fox traffic has been noted. Another thing seen is the little pesky black cat that we are constantly chasing out of the garden for using it as his personal toilet, doesn't seem to have a home. Somebody obviously feeds him/her but he/she is out all night and day roaming the alleyway. Seems to be sleeping under the Land rover at times. Yesterday saw me get the last of the downstairs hallway painted. Finally. Just the mid landing to finish now. Maybe that can wait until next weekend. the knee is complaining this morning. coffee and time for work. Enjoy the day. 5
RMweb Gold Kingzance Posted October 21, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 21, 2019 (edited) Morning from a wet NEHerts where the hours of slumber were interrupted by rain and an attack of cramp in the left leg. I expect the right one will come out in sympathy tonight. Moochos grassyarse for all the steers to rump steak magnetic clamps. Various sizes will be purchased on-line later today. Today will mainly see some battles with officialdom and utility providers as direct debits are cancelled and refunds are sought. I note that our former District Council threatens one with court action if 21 days late in paying your Council Tax but then says it is so busy it won’t be able to deal with your refund for four to five weeks. As Baz would say “Pah”. Of course these are but minor irritations in this community where some must deal with the death of a loved one. Goodayawl.
