Eventually I put the studded tires with steel rims off MrsID's old Liberty at the end of the drive for the fairy removal service. I was actually getting a tire plugged today and asked where they would recommend trying to sell the snows. I was looking for recommendations for second-hand places. They said that they are a common size of wheel/tire, just to put them on Craigslist and they should go pretty quickly. We'll see!
Popular Post Kelly
Morning all. Awake early after crashing out not long after getting back from the Lincoln and district post modernisation diesel and electric show yesterday. A good day and good show. Suspect I'll be heading back to bed for more rest and heat treatment care of bagpuss hot water bottle for my back. Despite the exhaustion and agony that follows going to the shows is good fun and gets me out of the flat at least which is a good thing. Tomorrow morning I should be awoken by the flying missile named poppy. Not seen her or Richard for a little over a week so will be good to see them. No further news on my dad, I'll phone my mum this evening probably and see how he was when she visited yesterday. 4

Popular Post chrisf
Good morning one and all, after what turned out to be a 19 hour day yesterday. The journey to Uckfield went well. The booking clerk at Bedford knew his stuff so I was on the 06.19 and into St Pancras an hour later. Breakfast at the Barrel Vault came quickly and was demolished with equal speed, allowing me to return to Thameslink as far as London Bridge. There I had a successful three minute connection into the Uckfield diesel and reached my destination an hour earlier than planned, leaving time for a well-earned cuppa. Earlier, there had been a moment of light relief at Bedford. When I produced the rainbow wallet containing my railcard, the clerk paused briefly and asked "Brighton?" By 5.30 pm I was back in London. I headed for the Coronet in Holloway Road and a meeting of a music appreciation group. There was little music appreciation and too much political argument but it was good to be there. Today sees Apple Day at Bromham Mill. I have better things to do than attend. Last year they managed not to have any apples for sale, which is the principal reason for having the event. On Tuesday the Bedford branch of the LCGB - got the right initials this time! - has its AGM. To be honest, I would rather be at a meeting in London to discuss the future of Pride In London but the organisers will just have to manage without my wisdom. I am supposed to be in Stevenage on Thursday but I need to talk to Poorly Pal about that. Before that the search for those ruddy etched frets continues. Other things await rediscovery, such as a DVD that came in February and promptly disappeared. Let's face it, I am one of the untidiest men on the planet. Finally for now I would like to thank all who expressed reassurance yesterday. You lot are wonderful. Best wishes to all. Chris 8
RMweb Premium TheQ Posted October 20, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 20, 2019 Mooring Awl inner Temple hare, A solid 7 hours sleep, which is a surprise, as it appears I've tweaked my back reaching up for the marquee top bolts. Today I'm off down to the sailing club for the start of the winter season, whether or not I get involved I don't know. Also I note that entries have already been received for the 3 Rivers Race 2020 30th - May 2020 which is clever as entries are not yet open . Ben the I want out Collie is giving the hint Time to painfully get up.. 1

I used to appal my fellow officers by eating the 'crew curry' not the upstairs version. Geordies, and especially Sandancers are weaned on curry. RMweb Premium TheQ Posted October 20, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 20, 2019 Just back from the SC, where the boats moved off for a downriver short course race as there is not a lot of wind. We had genuine Indian curry's in Saudi as our caterers were from Kerala , monthly curry night was very good.. ( there was one curry on every night anyway) . I'm off out to put up More of the marquee after a Muggacoffee.

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted October 20, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 20, 2019 Morning all from Estuary-Land. Yesterday at the Chelmsford show my friend made an unusual purchase. A box of track including two points, what was so unusual was it has a wooden base. Its 16.5mm gauge and marked Tenshodu. The box it came in which looks as if its the original has an illustration of US locomotives and stock and appears to date from the 1950's. Had a long lie in and soak in this morning and I've got things to do so I'll be back later.
RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted October 20, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 20, 2019 (edited) Good morning (just) everyone As it’s Sunday, we had a lie in and breakfast in bed. Up now and enjoying muggertea No2 before heading outside to take advantage of the current sunshine and start sanding some shelves. This is a job that I want to do outside as I’m going to create a lot of dust! Enjoy the day, back later Edited October 20, 2019 by BSW01
