Jamie It is ok I returned after lunch. I was a bit concerned while I went out and replaced a Euro profile lock cylinder on the garage door , ordinary door not the roller door. Aditi assured me that no wickets had fallen. The old lock seemed to have seized on the inner cylinder. I replaced it with one with more stars and a kite mark. Popular Post AndyID
My GP just called to give me the results of the MRI I had on Thursday. Apparently the meniscuses in my knee are knackered although that's not quite how he put it. Have to wait a month to see the knee doc and find out what my options are.

RMweb Gold BoD Posted August 3, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 3, 2019 Afternoon all. Sunny and warm here. Just as well as it’s a family bbq to celebrate son-in-law’s birthday. I’ve just set the charcoal a’warming and have poured a bottle of St Austell Tribute. Just to keep cool, you understand.

Wot you need is a tree surgeon." Actually he read me a lot of medico jargon from the MRI report that went right over my head. The bottom line is the menisci are torn. I believe that's usually the result of an injury but I didn't injure my knee. I suppose it's just the result of normal wear and tear. Can't really complain. I've been using it for seventy years. 2
RMweb Premium Popular Post New Haven Neil Posted August 3, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted August 3, 2019 Evenin'. O gauge track now all temporarily laid out and finalised - now need to adapt existing and rather permanent boards to have the raised track bed I want. Mostly going to plan other than finding the Victory tends to buffer lock through crossovers (setrack points, but with three sleepers length cut off the curved sections to reduce curvature), yet the larger Pannier doesn't, overhangs are obviously different. Larger buffer heads will sort it. Found a Pannier number that fits the spec of my model AND the photo is in the Forest of Dean, so am happy with that too. Still DC currently, as #ahem# I seem to have mislaid my Lenz handset....#cough#. Mrs NHN did her first assessment for Advanced Motorcycling today - the guy admitted there isn't much her can teach her. She has ridden for 38 years, and used to work in two different bike dealers, she has done 'a few' miles on bikes. Her handlebar cam footage showed a few holes in his technique though..... 18 1

I think the mud colour was the factory finish and someone had sprayed a few patches of blue on the bonnet and roof. 4 1

RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted August 3, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 3, 2019 Evening all from Estuary-Land. Had a good day at Mangapps. The lad wasn't sure he wanted to go but when we got there he discovered the (ex-Southminster) interlocking frame which is now preserved in working form at the museum. He is only just big enough to be able to pull the levers and operate the signals on display. I do need a new laptop, this current one is on its last legs. A fellow member of my model railway club who is something of a computer expert is going to get a second hand refurbished replacement for me, only problem is that he is on night shift for the next few weeks and he will not be attending the club. Time to put the kettle on, be back later.
