RMweb Premium Popular Post Barry O Posted June 28, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted June 28, 2019 (edited) Car swapped. New one was fully charged and it is very quiet when on electrickery. It also accelerates well for a 2 Tonne vehicle. Plugged into the 15A socket in the garage..but, having checked it doesn't draw a lot of power it is more of a trickle charger at home! I have managed to work out most things without resorting to the handbook but...there are some gizmos I may want to use so set up a beer and let reading battle commence! Mind you no settees to lounge on..they are now with Youngest Herbert. our new ones arrive next Monday. update Thursday... Busy week coming up a T20 at 9am tomorrow followed by a 100 over game at 1pm. RMweb Premium Popular Post New Haven Neil Posted June 28, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted June 28, 2019 Evening, from the southern reaches of......Welsh wales this time. Quite warm and not wet, makes the place look a lot nicer than how we usually see it. Great Nephew is refusing to pop into the world, must prefer the internal warmth. We're only here for two days so it looks like we'll miss him. Sarah's not late enough to be induced yet. Sorry to hear about Simba, Mike, we still miss our Buell terribly. 1

bbishop
Er, help? I can't seem to get into BT internet. Is this because the system is down? I can get the log in screen but then it all goes blank. But how do I resurrect if it is at my end? As I typed - help! Bill
bbishop
Mike, sorry that you've lost your cat. You will miss him. Now you just have the Station Cat, which reminds me that we haven't heard from her recently. Early to bed because we have the day nighter at Lord's tomorrow, and it could be a busy duty. Popular Post brianusa
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Sorry to hear about Simba, Mike, we still miss our Buell terribly.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> That's the effect any pet will have on you. We had a cat for nearly twenty years and went through the usual trauma when he died. For about ten years we never had another until a feral cat delivered kittens to our neighbours next door. Its hard to refuse a kitten so we gave them the friendly test which one fixed female passed admirably. She jumped on our bed and has remained there, just about ever since! RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted June 28, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 28, 2019 (edited) Evening all from Estuary-Land. Just gotten dark now but still 24 degrees. I am looking at changing my car for a hybrid, I would prefer a full electric but but I do a few long journeys every year and until there are more charging points and a range of at least 200 miles on an electric car before I would consider one. I have looked at electrics and hybrids on flea bay and they are surprisingly cheap second hand, until you get to the bit that says 'requires new batteries'. The other day there was an item about electric buses on the news, they had the batteries fitted on the roof! Modern batteries must be pretty light then. RMweb Premium Popular Post TheQ Posted June 28, 2019 RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted June 28, 2019 Evening awl, just back from the MRC where we had an increase in attendance, 6 today I've read a lot about Viking cruises, you may need to watch out for Harald Bluetooth or Eric Bloodaxe.. The second shelf on the carriages was completed but my first attempt at a sliding support for the lighting frame was a failure, it needs beefier pillars but that's brings its own problems of size.. More thought needed.. On the way to the MRC I saw a red deer about 20ft from the road munching on a farmers wheat. I know I've booked an appointment with draculas assistant, But they tried to get me on the way back tonight... A bat hit the windscreen ... Goodnight Awl.. 19
RMweb Premium BSW01 Posted June 28, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 28, 2019 Good evening everyone It’s been a scorcher her in the northwest of England. Boy, am I glad I didn’t have to work in it. This morning’s shopping trip was uneventful, I was able to get everything on my list. I was also successful in getting a pastie for dinner too! This afternoon was spent relaxing, Sheila reading, whilst I finished off a sudoku book. We both followed that with a short spell of eyelid inspection before I made a mid afternoon drink. Sheila had expressed a wish to go to Costco this afternoon, but deferred it until after tea. However, when we sat down with a drink after tea, she said she couldn’t be bothered, it can wait for another day, I wasn’t going to argue with that. Tonight we watched a bit of TV that had been recorded earlier in the week, thankfully each program we watched had successfully been recorded, so it looks like the work I did on the aerial last weekend has done the trick. The evening was rounded off with a nice bottle of Shiraz. Goodnight all

Popular Post chrisf
Good morning one and all Various things have acted as a cat-alyst for my morning mews-ings today. An envelope arrived from Leeds but I had kittens when I opened it, for it was from the GP surgery or, as I pre-fur to call it, the vets, inviting me to an appointment which I had already made. Purr-fect! This followed getting my claws into the task of booking a holiday for which, thankfully, there is enough in the kitty. I had better paws at this point. RIP Mike’s cat. In other news, the appointment with Sister Syringe did not go quite according to plan, for she only had the dose that lasts for four weeks. Oh dear, that didn’t come out right! The Zoladex hormone injection that keeps my cancer at bay comes in two sizes, four weeks and 12, and I normally have the twelve week size. The simple solution adopted was to have the smaller dose and go back for a larger one in four weeks. Oh dear, that didn’t come out right either. I am actually writing this yesterday lunchtime as I await a courier with a parcel from Doc Martens containing some of the most stylish footwear known to man. Not knowing when it is likely to arrive has rather stymied my plans for today. Sorry, Wrecrail, I was hoping to join you. Never mind, other tasks await my pleasure and attention, as they have done for some time. Best wishes to all Chris 13 1
