AndyR - make a note of the full error message - it will be UNHANDLED_KERNEL_EXCEPTION or something similar, this should help diagnosis. It could be network related - adapter or software - but it could also be that the network is putting more load on the system and the error appears quicker - open minded until more information available. Is there anything you do when on the network that's specific - for example are you accessing documents over the network that you don't when offline ?

When at home I am accessing the internet and using the messenger service which I am unable to do when "offline" at school. The "error" cropped up four times over the whole course of last night across two operating sessions. Yet during a continuous 2 hour and a half hour session and a further hour long session at school, whilst offline, nothing happened!

Due to being connected to the internet at home the messenger service is switched on as are updates for received emails etc. I did delete all saved internet files last night, which seemed to take some time, so I hope that this may have solved the problem but I am not hopeful.

A gorgeous day weather wise today has seen me working hard on the photo book and I have made major progress. I have also made progress with the Sports Week planning and may have secured an archery session and a climbing wall for the event which the children will enjoy.

With Sarah and Amber away until tomorrow I had a good night's sleep last night. Mum took pity on me and invited me around for tea and delivered her home made lasagne. Absolutely gorgeous! Then it was off to the Mickleover club. Things were very quiet tonight so I ended up with the run of the club layout's upper level. After a brief run of Duke of Gloucester I set up two trains of Midland maroon stock and sent them around in opposite directions behind two weathered green Jubilees. Achillies and Bahamas if anyone was interested! They looked superb!

The police officer has called tonight and arranged a meeting to take a statement tomorrow. I am still surprised at the effort they are making over such a relatively small amount of money.

The evening brought a nice surprise. I called in to see the progress on the new house and was stunned to find the back garden completely turfed. That was not part of our deal. The sales woman removed that from our incentive list because they had already agreed to pay our stamp duty and give us standard flooring throughout. I am quite surprised! Someone has made a mistake somewhere!

If they still have a lot of the estate to sell they may well think having yours turfed creates a better impression on those looking round.  Either that or someone just assumed it was to be turfed and didn't check. Still I don't think you will be complaining.

I am definitely not complaining, as it saves us a job. I am just concerned that they aren't going to turn round and try and charge us for the flooring or try and land us with the stamp duty!

Sadly the netbook has just produced the first error of the night "Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap" the words once again reported.

Evening all, really rather jealous of Ian's position so close to such a motor-sport venue as Le Mans. Luckily they have a good website and with that and a couple of others I use, it should be possible to duck in and out as the race proceeds - sadly don't have the stamina to stay up all night these days! Hope you enjoy it all Ian.

Tony, you obviously felt we needed a double dose of 'urban grot' - I like the convincing way that you have integrated the 'Superquick' buildings to make a convincing townscape, well done.

I've got my CT scan at Colchester General early tomorrow morning and so I won't post until later in the day. Won't get the results until my next appointment, 10th July, after our return from Somerset and Cornwall. Quite an important one this as I will use the results to make a decision on whether or not to go for an operation, given that the specialists agree to offer it to me!

Downwards to the weekend now and I've got British Superbikes and MotoGP to put on the Sky+ box!

Kind regards,

Jock.

Good morning all,

Dry, some blue sky with scattered clouds but a warm mainly sunny day is forecast.

Waiting for a parcel to be redelivered this morning (One of those "while you out" ones - when I wasn't!) I can only surmise it was when I made a flying visit to the shed and it wasn't our regular postie who would have left it with a neighbour.

Shopping trip planned for later and that's about all.

Have a good one,

Bob.

Nice and sunny here so it should be great Thursday!

Some cricket tonight so ample time to get some modelling done! Apart from owing the lawn and first pass clipping of our front hawthorn hedge.

Have a good day everyone!

Morning All,

It is a nice sunny morning here, and a lot cooler.  It is a bit on the windy side though, so having the office window completely open isn't really practical as the contents of my desk starts to fly around the room!  One way of getting rid of excess paperwork, I suppose :beee:

Regarding parking in South East London - I mourn the loss of the car park at the end of Orpington high street.  There used to be an excellent multi-storey that was just a short five minute walk down the hill from the station.  You could always find a space in there, it was a lot cheaper to park than at the station itself, and it was just 20 minutes outside of Central London.

Unfortunately, they demolished it to build a Tesco.

Have a good day everyone...

Morning all. Cloudy and cooler by a couple of degrees, which is good because we can finally get the heat out of our flat. Caught another modelling bargain last night and am very happy indeed!

Enjoy your day, or do try at least...

Morning All, bright and sunny here, all blue sky, tennis lesson then liquid lunch with a nap this afternoon in the hammock planned for today so far.

Enjoy the day

Why does everything "useful" have to be demolished to serve the God of retail shopping? Where I used to live, we lost a police station and a medical centre to Tesco and Lidl respectively!

Morning all. Very firmly touching wood here, but I'm genuinely amazed that once again North Norfolk is bathed in sunshine. Long may it continue! There, that's ruined it... rain tomorrow, no doubt!

Very very happy with the work of my mate the plasterer. It is so nice to have proper rooms at the top of the house again. They now just need plug sockets and light switches fitted, doors hung and a couple of coats of paint. Progress at last. My wife can go carpet-shopping soon.

I do hope all is well wherever you are.

Pete.

Morning all, bright sunny day outside, inside my headaches so I will pass on work today and try to doze. Little cat continues to recover she can do a lot with her back legs down to her 'ankles' but can't control her feet as yet.

Morning all.

Sunny and forecast to be pleasantly warm and dry today. Allegedly a man will be arriving to replace the fencepost and panel at the bottom of my garden.  Nice chap but his last attempt seemed to leave a bigger hole on my side of the fence than on the neighbour's who are employing him.

My sentiments exactly.

In all fairness, the car park in question was a typical 60s Multi-storey, so somewhat tight (some spaces were marked "Minis Only") and a bit of a brutalist eye-sore, but I would question whether the world really needed another Tesco.  Maybe the residents of Orpington would see that differently!

Morning all.  The problem with the Virgins is that they force me to watch too much telly.  Last night I found myself struggling to watch a programme that explained (?) how faster-than-light motion is possible and hence time travel may also be possible.

I don't consider myself particularly stupid, but this was way over my head, even using the pause button and taking the dog for a late-night walk to get some fresh air.

Did anyone else see it, and did they follow/understand it?

Ed

Overcast and cool here - it may improve during the day hopefully.

We are now starting to lose the supermarkets - Lidl in Whitehaven closed last year.  It didnt surprise me as it was always empty and I always wondered how it had lasted that long.  It was a pity as they did have some good bargains in their weekly offers, though I failed to find any display cabinets for my models when they were listed in their weekly promo mag.  It seemed these cabinets were all over the country - except Whitehaven!

Up at 5 this morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Probably catch up on me by lunchtime.

Up at 03:30 this morning, bright tailed and bushy eyed. One of our cats decided to take up tap dancing lessons on my back, in bed. Stoopid crittr. Managed to get another hour and a bit sleep afterwards.

Toasty warm in the boring borough this morning. Yesterday I managed to get the layout reassembled into its original single roundy configuration. A bit of track cleaning to come then a nice running session this evening if all goes well. Hopefully that will act as a call to my mojo to return home.

All sorts of honey do jobs building up for the weekend. I have to finish power washing the decking around the shed so I can finally get it stained. The south side of the shed needs repainting as the so called 10 year Cuprinol failed miserably and is peeling off after only 5 years. A couple of hours with a wire brush and a repaint is called for. After that a few bags of sand and mortar to set in the path need to be purchased and brushed in place. Cut new edges to one of the flower beds and cement down brick edging. Finally dig over what will be a new flower bed so SWBMO's multitude of seedlings can leave the greenhouse. A greenhouse that is rapidly filling with tomato and cucumbers. These are the sort of things I could do full time. Roll on retirement. Can anyone supply tomorrow's winning Euro-lottery numbers please? Perhaps if Ed manages to get his head around that time travel programme he watched last night he'll be able to go back and get us a group ticket for one of those £170m jackpots.

Have a great day all, where ever you are.

Perhaps all sorts of things are travelling faster than light we just wouldn't see them doing it! The biggest objection to there being time travel is that none has come back from the future yet.

One of the best time travel films I have seen is Deja Vu.

Still if we do work out how to doing would removing Beeching before he swung the axe be a good idea or not?

Good morning all,

A lovely sunny day again although the clouds are beckoning and the temperature will be dropping according to the forecast, suits me, Saturday out chasing trains beckons and some locations are best with bright, but not sunny, skies.

The last couple of days I've been sitting here, with the window wide open and some of the birds have been flying in by a few feet, realising there's a human there and flying out again. They are getting used to me now, so I can watch them easily.

Two tales to recount but I'll make separate posts on them.

Have a good day all.
