Lima V300 jerky running at low speed

Hi all. 

I have fitted a Bachmann 36-553 decoder to a Lima DB V300 loco. Can motor, the same set up as their class 67 & 20. It runs but is very jerky at slow speeds. What CV’s can i alter to smooth out the running?

To be honest, I would replace that decoder!

My own Lima V300 is fitted with a Lenz Silver and is a very reasonable runner and certainly smooth enough.

It is not a Kato model but for Lima, it’s pretty good.

I'd go for a Zimo decoder. Plenty of cv's to sort that out.
