Many CIWL cars were made in England, also some for Egypt, and transported to a harbour and then shipped to Egypt. The original of this Elettren 0 gauge sleeping car for Egypt was made by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company (BRC&W) nearby Smethwick and I assumed over LMS rails transported to the harbour.

The Jinty is from an Alan Gibson kit.

This is a very impressive-looking model, but I'm afraid it has some fundamental detail errors in comparison to its prototype.

The easiest to spot regards the Arabic inscriptions. These correctly appear on the compartments-side of the carriage, however whereas the one on the left correctly translates into "Sleeping Car", the one the right (see below) translates into "Restaurant Car", and is also not applied level as it should.

When compared to photos of the original, e.g. the one below, supplied by my collector friend Alon Siton, it seems to me that the windows are too wide, leading to the gaps between them being noticeably too narrow.
