For a business making substained losses and with a mountain of unsold stock putting up your prices is a novel marketing strategy.

Some charctoristics of "The Thanet Disease" (which go back to the 70's) are ;

The desire to do things on the cheap.

The desire to cut corners.

To empire build (& to form sub-empires within).

Management to spend more time on office politics than "managinf".

To promise goods/services will be delivered/supplied and not produce.

Be extremely poor at after sales service.

To charge as much as possible for what they produce/do.

 

Not all companies suffer from this, there are some excellent companies on the Island.

 

That's not a Thanet Disease. Those characteristics are prevalent wherever you look.

I've worked all over the UK and my experience is that it's more so in Thanet, lets just agree to disagree then.
