It looks like it relates to Crowdstrike linked to Microsoft platforms.

Fortunately our systems and hosting are on AWS.

Someone released an untested server update?

Or that perennial favourite, testing on live systems...

How the hell did you get that? That's one of the first steps in a first time install.

Finger of suspicion pointing at a Crowdstrike update it seems.

BBC: "We've contacted Crowdstrike for response but haven't heard back yet."

No, they're probably a bit busy. 🤨

Sums up Arriva perfectly!   Thankfully we're shot of them here in leafy Bucks from next week.

What with this and the Post Office scandal perhaps it’s time to consider if there is an over reliance on computers and their mass interconnection. One small fault and there is chaos.

It all started with new technology in the cotton and wool mills, those Luddites could see this coming but did anyone listen, no.

Hello,

Actually I think there is an over-reliance on Microsoft (particularly the excrable Windows), that's the root of the problem.

I'd say the root of the problem (HW or SW products) is lack of rigorous testing and contingency / backup plans, because they're expensive.
