One of the country’s biggest names in railway modelling, Hornby Hobbies, is now confirmed as attending The National Festival of Railway Modelling.

The Margate-based company joins the likes of Rapido, Accurascale, Oxford Diecast, Ellis Clark, DCCconcepts, Gaugemaster and many more great traders at the exhibition over the weekend of November 23rd and 24th at the NEC in Birmingham. This is alongside over 60 of the UK’s best model railway layouts, all hand-picked by the BRM team, plus exciting new features including rail simulators, a free ride-on railway and World of Railways Plus Cinema.

Steve Cole, publisher of the railways department responsible for putting on the event, is delighted to have Hornby on-board: “It’s great news to have Hornby confirmed as attending the show. I know the company has some exhibitions plans for its stand and is sure to be a huge draw for the thousands of visitors to the UK’s biggest model railway exhibition.”

Wendy Mo from Hornby’s marketing team had this to say: “We are excited to be at The National Festival of Railway Modelling and can't wait to meet those attending this brand-new event! Visit our stand to see our latest models and detailed layouts, sure to impress enthusiasts of all ages. Plus, we have hands-on experiences designed to engage and inspire our younger fans.”

The show’s new website is now live, revealing the layouts and traders already confirmed - click here to visit, plus tickets for The National Festival of Railway Modelling are now on sale. Click here to book.

No Bachmann attendance?

As it says in the main topic, both the trade and layout lists are still developing. Also, this is the Hornby thread, why would we announce anyone other than Hornby in it?

For somebody expecting extreme thread drift perhaps?

PS there would have been several emojis on the end of my comment but alas they're no longer available

Because it is mentioned that Rapido, Accurascale, Oxford Diecast, Ellis Clark, DCCconcepts, Gaugemaster are all attending and they are not in this thread either.

I don't think announcements and mentions are the same thing?

That's correct, the others were on the previous list.

There have been other additions since Hornby too but didn't merit a specific announcement.

I know others are still in progress too.

Some people will argue about anything, not a wise move on a Sunday. 😁

We also mentioned the show takes place at the NEC, but this wouldn't be the place to discuss car parking, or the price of beer in the Wetherspoons near the hall. This thread is about Hornby, the clue being in the title. Want to talk about other show stuff? There is a thread for that:
