Very nice!

How long between getting box and contents, appreciating the possibilities, and emptying the bottles?

Just asking.....  🤪

Doesn't matter how old you get.

It's "always the box the pressie came in" that you want to play with!  🥳

And I was also given a 12 year-old Fettercairn whisky which needed urgent  investigation.

A distillery a mere 5 miles from one’s abode; enjoy!

Best

Scott.

my eye was drawn to the rather nice presentation box...

We urgently need to know the name and source of this modelling box, and how to order it in the UK. Especially as it is made from organic and/or fully recyclable materials.

So it turns out that whilst my friend is in southern Australia her purveyor of fermented grape juice is a little closer to hereabouts. Cheshire, to be precise.

(No connection, just a happy recipient of their packaging and...of course...their wine)

Very nice it is, too.

I'm working on the principle that the bottom half of the bottle is the best bit...so you have to polish off the top half to get to it!  🤭

Thanks, this looks like a good example of a modeller's workbox.

Please note that the wines are not shipped in a wooden case.

Sorry to disappoint!

Mike.

The wine collection I was sent had 3 bottles; a sparkling blush, a Chardonay and a Shiraz.

It may be that if you buy that combo they come in the same kind of wooden box that I received.

This was really about upcycling and solving a portable storage need I had for winter-time modelling. If you rely wanted to do the same I'm guessing you can buy a wooden box from all sorts if places.

But this does sort of lead me onto another possibility.

Years ago I bought a watercolour set from WHSmiths. It came in a slim wooden box and was too good to throw away. I'm wondering if I could use some leftover foam inserts from my stock boxes (JB Models) to make up an additional stock box.

Aquired as a christmas present, originating from Costco I believe....

Must soak that label off....
