Namedropping, but I actually spoke to Andy at GBTS here in Canada back at the end of April.  He was quite definitive that there is no 0 gauge in Rapido's future.

TT:120, then 😀

So we now know the REAL reason Jason is over - that's one hell of an expenses claim, so he needed to personally investigate.

It didn't cost as much as this (once the repair, paint and upholstery is factored in), and it's probably a lot more useful!

Dapol seem to have overproduced (given current deals),

The discounted Dapol stuff has all (edit - I think!) been at least 2nd runs and in some cases such as the Terrier I've lost count but there are a few other pointers that the O gauge market is not limitless. Perhaps we are seeing a delayed impact of the post covid price rises when wages weren't going up.

Heljan has always been prone to discounts but ending up with c50% off now seems to be the norm.

Peco have just put Parkside kits up yet again. Around lockdown I was generally paying under 30, now they are well over 40 and frankly just not value compared to r-t-r. There will be many factors but I doubt high sales is one of them.

Rapido decided not to go ahead with the J70 which I think was based on interest.

Slightly more anecdotal (although I do keep a spreadsheet!), I'm marking down the value of a lot of my O gauge based on recent eBay prices realised compared to a year or two ago

Back on topic, there is a photo of No. 12 on t'internet where its wheels look tiny even compared to a medium goods wagon.

How much can it actually pull?

Oh boy, that (Captain Kernow’s post 2 above) is CUTE - even more so than the full size locomotive!

...Any plans to do a model of it in OO gauge?...

If I understand correctly there were multiple gauge options for this boiler and engine combo, so could be produced in 6, 9 and 12mm gauge options too.

See, it is a BIGGEST project! Heading into Rowland Emmet territory...😎

I know I've posted photos of this before, but this thread seems appropriate...

'Marcia' in OO gauge, built by Brian Clarke many years ago:

Virtually everything on this loco was scratchbuilt, apart from the motor.

Oh i'm in love!

If you ever fancy getting it next to Marcia I know a man who can help...

Oh well, my money won't ever contribute to Dr Who costumes, then. 🤔🙄🤣🤣🤣

I must stand on my tippy toes because that went way over my head.

However, there was a life sized Dalek on the Rapido stand.

Jason Shron (owner of Rapido) s a huge Dr Who fan, & posted photos in his recent 'travel thread' (that offhand I can't find) of a Dr Who costume he's having custom made. I couldn't tell from the photo if he was actually inside it at the time.... 🤔😳

More than happy to sometime, Andy, the loco is in my long term care, but I live in South Devon and I believe the real Marcia lives on the K&ESR?...

Makes a change from "Is it easy to convert to EM/P4?"

Yes, but that is still a valid question because Rapido should really make a model of that little beauty. Please????

Cheers,
