Point motors DP4 for DCC ?

Point motors DP4 for DCC

I have bought 6 of these motors waiting arrival they are  like the MP5 except DP4 are  for DCC. There is an option if getting the DP10 which have a bracket that you can switch into a Tortoise swap over.

DP4 and DP10 have chip in them so they can control via the Assessory cv  apparently. I'm not technical but it makes sense to me.

Has anyone used these ones DP4 or D10?

Whilst I’ve not used the DP versions, it seems effectively they are similar to their MP family members, but with (as you say) a built in decoder, making them specifically suitable for DCC.

With the MP versions, an external switching decoder unit (often with multiple outputs, such as Yamorc 8116) is required to run them on DCC.

I think these are brand new, so I don't think you'll find existing users.  I was told by the gentleman at DCC Train Automation back in February that they'd be released shortly, but he couldn't say exactly when.  Looks like they are now here, although seem to have sold out already.

Like so many things these days, production doesn't meet demand.
