Friday morning….

When speaking to the guys at the nec they said if you like the 66s then it’s the same era as the 66s and it’s going to be a big one. So make of that as you will

59s worked both and look 66 ish but Dapol have done it recently.

A 37/5 is often mentioned on Facebook..

Class 60 has Cavalex in competition. A class 58? My Heljan one is a long way from being life expired.

Another steam loco, like an 8F is possible.

Or a wagon type that had variants for coal or aggregates (a good few to choose from).

Class 33s did both, but I'd expect further hints like oil trains.

Suspect it's none of those.

HEA wagon?

I’m not a steam man, so I’m struggling to think of any diesel locomotive that would fit the description that isn’t already done. Only the 58, which is still an 8 pin I suppose but could be updated, although that is still a pretty decent model.

HTV Cymru for coal, HTV West for stone - well, I can hope.

It's been a while since ive seen the HTV logo. Westward with Gus Honeybun next. Guess you got to be a certain age for that.

66711 - Aggregates

66711

& 66112 worked the last coal train in the UK recently…

Probably both incorrect!

Still waiting for the 8F 🤪

Having just built 30+ Parkside  21T hoppers, one of them an aggregate rake, one coal,  I’m thinking the inevitable will happen. Huge numbers built over lots of diagrams- BR brake versions are a big hole RTR. Hence my hours of building kits.

left field, something in TT? more than likely a wagon already in the AS OO range that could go behind a 66? i can't see them doing a loco yet.

The last video from Accurascale was on the sound recording for the Ruston.

What was full on right next to it - an EMT livery HST power car.

Plenty of coal and aggregate trains were passed by HSTs.

yeah but the clue is, train not locomotive or maybe?

It says 'trains' - trains are composed of wagons - in the case of freight (various) trains, a brake van in older times, and an engine/loco on the front.

So it could be a wagon which is of a type that has been used for coal and aggregate trains (a 21T hopper would be very nice thank you);  it might even be a brake van (unlikely but they do need one, or three in their wagon range),; or it could be an example of the various types of engine/loco that have worked such trains  (e.g an 8F, or further variations on the EEType3/Class 37 theme, or even a Class 58.    A  Swindon built 8F would be absolutely spot on please)
