Z21 Iphone and ipad not synced

Hi,

 

I am new to this so please bare with me.

 

I have purchased the Z21 and have, after much grief, managed to get an ipad and iphone to connect to the Z21. However they are not synced and the loco i have loaded into the ipad does not show on the phone, only the factory locos are showing?

 

Also I couldn't get my new ipad Air to work and have had to use my wife's older ipad gen 2. I have compared both settings and they identical so does anyone know why this would be the case. Wife is now getting excited that she is going to be getting my new ipad😄

The app does not automatically sync between devices. You have to do that manually by exporting and then importing your layout in the app.

 

As long as you are using the supplied Wifi router, connecting a phone or ipad should be trivial, just select the Z21 wireless network and off you go.

 

If you are attempting to use your home Wifi network, don't! Unless you know what you are doing.

 

I don't know why a new iPad air won't work, it should. You can also email Roco support.

Have both devices open in in the app,

Go to - Layouts - on device you’ve created a layout on. 

 

 

Click the layout to open its screen

 

 

Scroll to the bottom and tap export and this pop up will appear. Then follow instructions

My Son managed to get my Iapd Air working a well.. No idea how but he does work for Apple so that probably helps.

 

Just need to get some track down and I'm good to go.😄
