I saw one lose a front wheel on the Birmingham inner ring road once. Not just the wheel; the whole assembly - brake disc, caliper, hub & stub axle, all in one...

Just a flesh wound....

I loved my Allegro, all £80 of it, started it with a hair grip (lock had been crowbarred off by the police when the previous owner lost her keys).

The brakes didn't work and it was an awesome experience going over 50mph in it.  Sold it for £50 with no life changing injuries to report.

Adrian Colenutt did a grand job in photographing proceedings throughout the day, below is a link to my selection of his photographs posted up on Facebook.

Thank you very much Adrian.

Jerry and I still haven't had our "wash up" meeting, but we can now confirm that next year's Larkrail will be taking place on Saturday 26th July 2025.

I will be at "RailWells" next weekend with a bit of my Gauge One-ery, I am looking forward to more conversations and trains!!

You'd be better off putting in your diary.
