Now you know they say DC is far simpler than DCC? 😇

the Captain swapping controllers for the ultimate experience 😉

Perhaps it's an option if you're just starting out, but I'm too old, dyed in the wool and have far too many locos to consider buying controllers for all of them🤪

Very sorry I didn't get there (again)  but looks a fine day was had by all.

I guess I'll see you all at Wells in three-weeks time.

Cheers, Dave.

A new kind of feedback was added to the controller list . . .

You're the one that I want (you are the one I want)
Ooh, ooh, ooh, honey

A most excellent image,

oh yes indeed

If you're filled with affection
You're too shy to convey
Meditate in my direction
Feel your way

I have admired Cogirep since the first time I saw it in 2008.  On Saturday I took a closer look into Al's murky water..

Odd. I thought at first that was a model of our very own Not An Old Geezer....

I had a comment on my Flickr page asking about the weathering technique used on the 16T minerals on the 2mm version of Parkend - can anyone elucidate?

Pictured here are Kim, Yvonne and Georgina, an absolutely top team. Also contributing greatly in this area were Dave at front of house and Adrian on washing up

Catering all day is far harder work than operating the layouts as it’s non stop too so their efforts are much appreciated 👍

Knowing there will be cakes and tea of comparable quality to the layouts means I usually spend most of the day at Larkrail, much longer than many bigger shows!

Glad to hear it’s done well for the charity I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I had a most splendid day, especially being located next to Dave and his absolutely delightful French railway Rail Bus.

We talked perspectives & petrol pumps. Wonderful.

Thank you Jerry & Simon & the catering team.

An excellent show as always.

Roger (not Robin) Swan.

Hurrah for Gauge One-erry & et ceteras.

I am so sorry Roger, how did I manage to get the name of the famous bard of Larkrail wrong??

Turning into my Dad I fear, although in my defence another top bloke I know is one Dr Robin Swan from Wokingham, who has also suffered from Gauge One-ery in the past.

And I love your Ruston as built by John Dale (I think), top colour scheme and I really like the different shape of the earlier series locos.

I have one of his 48DS kits to build myself.

And I very much hope that you are able to join us next year Roger, with expanded  Gauge One-ery!

Simon, I think...

Going back a bit I know, but what I absolutely love about this picture....

20240713_121401.jpg.733917e8966e4757410040872df601c5(1).jpg.b4b2269cffdc27ad7ecd68941bab3168.jpg

....is that (to my eyes at least), both John and Neil really look to be in the middle of some sort of jive dance together.

And I think I am right in saying that the figure on the left is the esteemed "Taigatrommel" of this parish.

A wonderful picture on every level, very well captured Tim!
