Chris M
At Warley club we are getting excited about our exhibition at Statfold Barn next month - 12th & 13th October. I'm looking forward to a few free train rides on the Statfold Barn railways, all visitors will be able to have as many free train rides as they want. This venue and show feels so much more comfortable than the NEC. The NEC was great for Warley club but I think pretty much all of us at Warley Club are glad to have downsized to something more easily manageable. I'm very pleased that the Warley National slot at the NEC has been taken up by Warners/BRM and look forward to visiting that show in November as a paying customer. Back to our Warley at Statfold show. From the layout list above we have three layouts that have never been exhibited before - Seaford Promenade Station in 00, Musgrave Hill an N gauge layout in an aluminium flight case and Cwm Bach & Llados Halt a new N gauge layout. At the other end of the timescale this will almost certainly be the last time that O gauge layout Inver will be see in Britain. 00 gauge Eardley Mor Halt is only on its second public viewing and there are currently no plans for this layout to go to any other exhibitions. Eardley Mor Halt appeared in Model Rail last year. So, despite being smaller (and more relaxed), there are quite a few rare viewings at this year's show. I don't have any photos of Seaford Promenade or Musgrave Hill because they are so new. I've got photos of Cwm Bach & Llados Halt because its mine. Passenger train leaving Cwm Bach Railcar approaching the river A pair of railcars at Llados Halt. The is nothing much at Llados which is how it got its name but you have to say it backwards. Yes I know its a straight copy of Dylan Thomas' idea. Both Warley Model railway club and Statfold Narrow Gauge Museum Trust are registered charities and any funds raised will remain with these charities.
Chris M
I've managed to get some photos of Eardley Mor Halt. This should look quite familiar to anyone who has been to Eardington Halt on the Severn Valley Railway. The station building has since bene replaced by a better one which looks much more like the one at Eardington. The builder of the layout has got bought models of all the cars he has owned over the years. Looking through the bridge at the end of the layout. Obviously you wont get this view at the exhibition.
