A complete contrast now, as our elderly J15 brings the shuttle up from East.

Got to have a close up of a J15, haven't we?

Now that has caused my self editing keyboard to get excited, as you know it is GwR, GCR, GNR and GER. Nearly as beautiful as a Belparied boiler 2F with a Deeley cab.

Fair point. Still very confused about the Great South Western Railway, well it is north of that wall?

Would that be a close relative of the Glasgow & South Western Railway perchance, Clive?

No very simple, Grimsby, Northampton and Southport Railway.

Next best livery on a cute(?) pannier, the bestest is that nice dark read with Routemaster transfers.

The A2/1 look good Gilbert, but not as good as a V2 on which it is based.

I have two A2/1 kits to build a PDK and a Nu-Cast. The latter with its original cast chassis, a very old motor and Romford wheels. I recall that Mr Wright advises replacing the cast chassis. He is probably correct but I thought I might give it a go. It did not cost much.

Kind regards,

Richard B

(*or alternative word to suit)

There, I've corrected that for you ...

(great weathering job though)

I well remember the original  chassis, and totally agree with Tony. I had some which literally were fit only for the bin, you would never get a running loco out of them, let alone a sweet running one.
