regme
Hi  Has anyone glued track down to an acrylic sheet?  I was going to lightly sand the acrylic sheet before gluing, although I'm not sure what glue to use.  Thanks

RobinofLoxley
Do you aspire to a permanent bond or one that can be released?

RMweb Gold The Johnster Posted January 14 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 14 Purely out of interest, why do you want to glue track to perspex?

Not answering for the OP, but Proses make I think there is one manufacturer who makes an Acrylic Helix kit comprising of curved acrylic roadbed and metal spacers for the lifts. Saw it recently but cannot recall where. Â Of course, the OP may have a different requirement. Â Edited January 14 by Damo666 Found the name of the manufacturer
regme
The acrylic sheet is the base for a structure that I'm building
DCB
If that is code 100 concrete sleeper track  I feel you would probably have a better chance gluing Set Track as their sleepers are a harder more brittle plastic than the flexi. I would use a set track 26" straight with the ends cropped as a basis. Another advantage is Set Track stays dead straight unlike flexi which loves to flex slightly
regme
Yes it is, good point, but I'll be using a straight to line up the flex track so hopefully it will be all good. Â Well I tried some priming fluid for PVC pipes (MEK) and is holding pretty well, but once I encase the track to make the ground level flush with the top of rail, it should be ok.
