Windjabbers Posted May 24 Author Share Posted May 24 (edited) 2024 Cambridge Model Railway Show add Finescale Hall The 31A Cambridge Model Railway Club have announced that their annual model railway show will be held on Saturday 14 September 2024 at Comberton Village College, Comberton between 10 am and 4 pm. This year’s show will be expanded to include a third hall, which will have a finescale theme. Society stalls from the following finescale groups will be attending: - · The 2mm Scale Association, · The 3mm Society, · The S Gauge Society · The E.M. Gauge Society · The Scalefour Society In addition, we will have a range of finescale layouts in 2mm, 3mm, S and P4 at the show. This will be in addition to the range of modal railway layouts in N, OO and O gauge along with support from model railway traders. Prices have been held at last year’s level - £7 per adult, £3 per child, with third child free. The 31A Cambridge Model Railway Club meets twice a month throughout the year at the Oddfellows Hall on Newmarket Road, new members are welcome. A minimum space O gauge layout which really captures the essence of the agricultural railways such as the Wissington which were once such as part of the railways of the Fens. This will have a finescale theam and will include a range of layouts built to finescale standards. This will inclued S Gauge layout - Abbey Street, which is one of two S Gauge layouts at the show. Since its last appearance at our show the layout has been extended to a continuous run layout. Which allows them to make the most of the long trains and full sound locomotives from North America.
