No excuses for Lance Stroll now, he has to deliver. It won't be the fault of the car if he's not regularly challenging for podiums once Newey has got his feet firmly under the desk at Aston Martin.

Can we just transfer Lance to management or other racing (like a Hypercar) please?

Valkyrie a home for both Lance and a post F1 Fernando to help develop the team?

With a Newey car and a load of ex Red Bull staff, will Aston be the next dominator from 2026 on i wonder?

Jo

Probably the highest paid British sportsman that most people would never have heard of.😀

As R4 put it. The $30m sports transfer of the year for a 65 year old man that draws cars.

I'm thinking lawn mower racing.

Those who used to frequent Motor Books will be reminded of the Murray Walker cartoon...

(Unfortunately I can't find a copy on the web).

CONFIRMED.

F1 design great Newey joins Aston Martin

Not going to lie, Newey and Hamilton at Ferrari was an intriguing combination - but, knowing Ferrari and knowing Newey, as likely as pigs fly.

I miss Murray Walker and his pants on fire style of commentary.

He, along with Stirling Moss provided voices for Roary the Racing Car. Murray's character also had a Murray puppet.

I'm sure Emison Fittipaldi was in one episode

Lawrence Stroll has now set his sights on Max Verstappen with talks underway, as per respected Italian publication Autosprint.

I think this is almost a given, especially as Max has expressed his adoration for the Honda engines and had trepidation about losing them.

I am very pleased to see Ford re-join F1 though!

Mclaren finally getting Oscar to back Lando up.

Honestly, the possibility of Lando getting the championship has improved but I still remain sceptical.

Don't get me wrong, I really hope he does but there are too many variables. Too many other Drivers who could and will get ahead of Lando or end up behind Verstappen.

I actually think the only important person who doubts Lando is Lando. A first championship would maybe change that.
