darrel
I've been having a look round and drawn a blank. Does anyone make 00 gauge tightlock couplings? I have a resin body for a class 318. It needs a tightlock coupler. It does not need to be a working coupler for my purposes. Any suggestions would be appreciated
RMweb Gold Chris.D Posted June 1, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 1, 2023 The closest I have found to the tightlock coupler was done a by US company called Sergent. Unfortunately they appear to be no longer available from them, but some people have taken them on since. It is also worth mentioning they are in Ho/3.5mm scale too and will still require the electrical box adding. Depending on your application, shapeways does do a static version of it: https://www.shapeways.com/product/WLV37ESJP/dummy-coupler-sergent-compatible?optionId=275006216&li=marketplace If you are after a working version, there is a Yahoo group, which seems like they will be doing a group order of the various types every few months, with the next round being open soon. https://groups.io/g/SergentEngineering Hope that helps. SRman
Not tightlock, but the next best thing might be the Scharfenberg couplings from Hornby.
