PM message being block by video

Just tried to read a PM but a video screen covered part of the message and I could find no way to move it or delete it.

Is the removal of the "click-to-close" button on the Connatix pop-up video player to be a permanent "feature"?

 

Or is this (he asks hopefully) inadvertent?

Who knows? Some changes were made today so I'll look in the morning. Does it close if you click elsewhere on the screen?

No. Only closing he page and navigating to another page makes it go away. (And of course it reappears once you scroll down a topic page.)

 

Once it appears, it is persistently in the same position on the page. (Above the lower right corner for me.)

The constant advert pop ups everywhere are now at the point where simply browsing and reading the forum is a pain. It's a real shame, I understand the need for advertising and don't mind it, but not when it's constantly shoved in your face.

I have observed that if one does not scroll past the video player after the first post, and clicks pause, then it will not subsequently pop-up when scrolling down the page.

 

It's more complicated than the old 'click-to-close' button, but does achieve the same result.
