franckcombe
After the realization of the ON30 LUCKY LUKE layout and OSIRIS layout, I was frustrated to not have done an on30 mexican style layout. I was amazed by the beautiful village of San Lorenzo done by Verne NINER that I discovered in 2014. I'm also very impressed by the 0n30 mexican style of PUERTO BORRACHO and few others. I want to have mine also in a derelict style, mexican with adobe style building, mexican revolutionary period. Because it's an harbour, I will have a steamer ferry. Because I made it for exhibition, I will use the same design in term of size as LUCKY LUKE. franckcombe
This is the link to the San Lorenzo layout realized by Verne NINER that inspired me and which had been on my mind since its publication in 2014. I will try to do my layout with this mood. http://thundermesaminingco.blogspot.com/2014/10/viva-san-lorenzo.html

I make a survey : which is for you the most famous one or just note the first name ? Don't search on google.

franckcombe
After a long pause, I do the carpentry and the background of the layout in order to have a better view. On the right part of the layout I will do a cemetery with the good, the bad and the ugly figures IMG_3271 by franck combe, sur Flickr IMG_3271 by franck combe, sur Flickr IMG_3269 by franck combe, sur Flickr

franckcombe
I find the right color for the sand. It's a mix between red sand for terrarium and yellow sand that we found in France. According the area i will change my ratio and add also some stones IMG_3355 by franck combe, sur Flickr
franckcombe
Hi, After a long stop because I have too much work, I come back. I start to pain the track with a coat of grey paint spray, then I apply a diluted wash a brown oil with turpentine and I finish with a diluted wask of black ink with alcool. IMG_5395 by franck combe, sur Flickr IMG_5396 by franck combe, sur Flickr I also start to create 3 galloping gooses based on corgi and rio models cars. I don't want to use Bachmann ones because they are expensive and very fragile (the gear mainly). I use the motor gear and bogie from Bachmann ho trolley. franckcombe
Hi, I made some progress. I assembled and painted the gun for the fortress and the rail car. I paint the cactus. I paint also the cross for the cemetery in order to recreate the scene from the good, the bad and the ugly. For the market, I done the two iconic vegetables (lime with mustard seed and pepper with dill seed). franckcombe
Hi, I spend more times on my layout. After painting the tracks, I glue the buildings, rocks and but not the Cactus. I have to modify the color of one kind of cactus. What do you thing about the 2 saguaro cactus ? Are they too big compared to the rest of the scene ? In reality we can encountered saguaro twice as big. In the future I will cover the layout with red sand and the tombs with red stone.
