Once it's all done, I'll give it another wash to tone down some of the colours. After each painting session I'm popping the building back under the layout lights to check on my progress. I masked off the doors and canopy and sprayed them with the airbrush. Mixing the paint was a bit of trial and error as I didn't want it to look too much like a military or railway colour (while working with a limited number of paints that are predominantly military or railway colours). No painting done today, instead we had a day out cycling in Wales and popped in at the WLLR for a slice of cake. I used to go there often when I was a kid, and we drive passed fairly often now, but somehow I think this is the first time I've seen either The Earl or The Countess in steam.
