West Coast Railways Mk 1 RBR livery

Recommended Posts

I'm currently making up a rake of 4mm Mk 1 coaches to represent a typical WCR rake. Mk 1 RTR models are in the pipeline from Bachmann (plus Mk 2 from Accurascale) but there is no indication when they will be available, so I'm converting Hornby Mk 1s. The bogies are wrong (should be Commonwealth and the Hornby Commonwealths aren't available as a spare, but I'll get round that) but the main thing I want to sort out the lettering. I've removed the Hornby numbers from a TSO and put on West Coast branding and numbering and it looks OK. I have however a RBR to sort out but any photos I've found of them don't show any with WCR branding.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

WCR only have 2 RBRs and only 1961 is in WCR livery with branding.
