RMweb Premium ullypug Posted October 2, 2022 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 2, 2022 (edited) Home from a really enjoyable day at Portishead. Hall was busy all day, over 800 through the door. Quality layouts everywhere, no filler and so nice to catch up with so many friends, old and new. It’s been tiring taking two layouts but the lovely comments I’ve had all day have really given me a boost. I can’t thank my co-operators enough. Currently sitting with my feet up and a glass of fermented apple juice. Hope everyone has a great time and got home safely. and I only turned my back for one second!! leavesontheline
What a great show it was! I can't believe it was as long ago as 2017 that the last one was held - seems like yesterday! It would be unfair and untrue to say that "I only had eyes for Ewe" but having seen it on here and having just read about it in BRM the morning before the show it was too good an opportunity to miss! It did not disappoint, looking even better in the flesh than in the magazine/on the screen! It was like meeting a 'celebrity' in the street just after you have watched them in a film! Thanks for chatting Rob and further explaining some of your techniques - you make it sound and look so easy! As I say though, the 'excitement' of seeing Ewe after having just read about it in a magazine is not to detract from the other superb layouts on display, some of which I have seen a few times over the years in other local shows (but would never tire of seeing again) and some I had never seen before - Leysdown and Rolvenden were standouts for me in this respect. Will we have to wait another 5 years until the next one I wonder? Hopefully not!
