SP Steve
For a litle bit of fun then visit: http://traintimes.org.uk:81/map/tube/ The map shows the progress (or otherwise) of the services around the capital in near real time.
JZjr
Looks like a very interesting idea! Shame I cannot look at it right now as I am on an iPod, will defiantly be something I look at when I get home tomorrow!
Horsetan
There is one for the Swiss rail network. It seems to work better, not surprisingly!
trisonic
Fascinating! One of the trains seems to have got lost and was last seen by me running through Pinner Park.... Best, Pete.
Edwin_m
Shame you can't use it on the Underground where there's no reception.
Dan Hamblin
LU use a similar system called TrackerNet, which gives the detail down to line level. I assume this uses a similar data source. Regards, Dan
Engineer_London
Thanks for posting this - most interesting. Looking at the developer's notes and how it works, I can confirm the data comes from LU's Trackernet. Compared to the live railway, it seems to be about 4-5 minutes in delay, and in some instances it seems to leave out some trains. Nevertheless very good and I'll watch it develop - the shape of things to come.
