Administrators AY Mod Posted June 1, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 1, 2022 One for the Jubilee Holiday... Post your model pics or real railway pics that have a royal flavour here and we'll 'crown' someone after the weekend*; we'll try and share some of the best via our World of Railways site and our social media channels. * Best modelling or most amusing should do it! @Phil Parker has been dusting off his G Scale royals (when they were an awful lot younger) for attendance at his garden party.

Steamport Southport
Lime Street Station, Wetherspoons. Copy of a L&Y map above (even though the location is LNWR) Got one of those phones and was trying it out. Can't work it yet being a total luddite... I really wanted to see how the shade of the bunting matches the Bulleid. Not entering any competition, just thought some might appreciate some bunting.

eastwestdivide
Do German Royals count? Of course, they're all related one way or another aren't they? 1. Carriage from Ludwig II's train, in the Nuremberg museum, 2015: 2. Or perhaps the Dutch Royal Train in the Utrecht museum in 2017 is more to your taste: 5

About to try and edit the post and add the photos. Finally loaded, internet issues still on going (snarl). Administrators AY Mod Posted June 8, 2022 Author Administrators Share Posted June 8, 2022 Apologies that we're a little late in coming back to participants on this but we felt that this merited a high level conference today with me, Phil and Howard over a cup of tea to discuss the merits of the entries. We all, independently and then collectively, agreed that there was a stand-out winner - @brighamloft There were two images that justified this. Firstly the extensive work for a Royal drive-by. Later in the day the villagers gathered for the Jubilee Beacon lighting festivities with a good choice of street food and a very effective match beacon warming the plastic faces of the crowd and casting some great shadows. Well done Gwyn. With our compliments we would live to give you RMweb Premium access for the next year which means you can enjoy the reading experience a little more without the Google Ads. 13
