New Fallen Flag to add to the list - Montana Rail Link

Recommended Posts

I wonder if this will have any effect on the only other Washington Group railway - the Southern Railway of BC here in the Lower Mainland of BC. It’s never been part of any bigger (railway) company, unlike MRL.

I have to say I'm not too surprised by this.  BNSF have retained rights over the MRL main line throughout and on all of my visits practically all the trains I've encountered have been BNSF run-throughs sometimes with MRL helpers.  MRL activity seems to have been restricted to branch lines.

Sorry to see another flag fall though.

Don't get too excited;  SD45s 314, 331, 328 and 377 are pushing BNSF run-through KCKPAS towards the Bozeman Tunnel at Muir MT as barriers start to rise on 16 May 2000.
