My thoughts on Launch Liveries so far.

Haas = 2/10

Aston Martin = 6/10

Red Bull - 5/10

McLaren = 7/10

And the Alpha Touri. = 1.5?

I didn't think I could score lower than the Haas. :fie:

It seems as though there will only be Aston Martin and McLaren with cars on the grid - all the rest will just be tins of paint and 3D renders...

Since the FIA cares more about appearance and presentation than racing, that my be enough.

Williams power up for F1 '22 launch with multi-year Duracell deal.

So will the Car be Black and Gold, AKA, JP Special? They did say it would be a new colour.

What a pity our only dedicated Free to watch terrestrial TV Channel can't update its Website. :banghead:

Some things they update OK, such as the version of DRM required to view, which my old chromebook can not be updated to. <sigh>

That would look good.

3 Sprint Races for 2022.

This is just an extract from a report from the FIA, which just re tells the Abu Dhabi story and says there is no conclusion yet. :banghead:

Three sprint races agreed

The meeting did succeed in solving the impasse over the number of 'sprint' races this year.

A stand-off over financial issues has led to the abandonment of the initial plan to double the number of 'sprint' events to six.

Instead, a compromise plan has been agreed to hold three sprints again this season, on the same financial terms as last year.

These will be held at the Emilia Romagna, Austrian and Brazilian Grands Prix.

The points available at the sprint events will be expanded, with eight points for the winner, seven for second and so on down to one point for eighth place.

Last year, points were available only for the first three finishers, with three to the winner, two for second and one for third.

'Sprint' events see a shorter race held on Saturdays, the results of which set the grid for the main grand prix. Qualifying is moved to Friday, setting the grid for the sprint.

Haas claims suggestions that staff have been asked to save toilet rolls amid a sticky back plastic shortage near their base are overblown.

Alternative theories suggest they are making a giant Tracy Island.

So the FIA is going to keep its Abu Dhabi enquiry results secret from the public, thus effectively reinforcing the perception that they are both inept and corrupt.

Less of a sport now and more of a joke unfortunately.

How can they justify that given the debacle of the last race! The whole sport is awaiting the results with baited breath. The FIA can't  be its own judge, jury and executioner. An independent enquiry should be held. Its like the Ferrari engine deal. Just sweep it under the carpet and hope it goes away. Hopefully Mercedes will push to make the results public. Its in the sports interest to be transparent and accountable. Hopefully someone will leak the report.

"Freddie Starr ate my hamster" stuff. With a voiceover live from the planet Zog.

Can't stand those videos with text-to-voice. If you can't be @rsed to make a video and speak yourself, don't bother.

................but this has just dropped.

"outspoken co-founder and CEO of Rich Energy William Storey has revealed he recently met with a number of Formula One engineers.

F1 engineers think Max Verstappen should be stripped of his title and also want Michael Masi fired, it has been claimed. "
