RMweb Premium Steadfast Posted April 12 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 12 For such a small component change, it's amazing how much more "proper" the class 18 looks once fitted with the BMAC clusters. Jo

Jo The cab front looks like a Tazmania loco, or one of the Australian narrow gauge diesels, in my own opinion.

RMweb Gold Revolution Ben Posted April 25 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 25 Hi all, On a recent trip to South Wales we watched a couple of Port Talbot's CBD-90s (931, 933) shuffling back and forth with steel wagons between Port Talbot steelworks and the adjacent yard at Margam. If anyone is heading to Model World Live at the NEC this weekend we will have (undecorated) samples of the loco and the canvas covered steel carriers on display. cheers Ben A.

As Alan notes it’s for the radio control indication of movements, in reality they are flashing lights. Getting those to work will be a challenge for someone to take up 😆

Getting those to work will be a challenge for someone to take up 😆 It is interesting to read that the loco can be controlled remotely by radio. Please forgive me if I'm asking the obvious, but would I be correct in thinking that each light colour will indicate something in particular, e.g. radio mode on, connected to radio, connection lost etc.? I should imagine that there's a fail safe system and if the connection was lost the locomotive would just stop.
