RMweb Premium Dava Posted February 9, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 9, 2022 Only just seen this, sad that Nottingham MRS are losing yet another show venue ‘thanks’ tot’ Local Authority. But seeing Netherwood Sidings not to be missed, with other fine layouts & traders. Good while it lasted. Dava
GWC1
Yes, Nottingham City Council seem set against the idea of us holding shows within the city, as they keep closing venues. I am off shortly to look at a venue for our Autumn show, which will be just outside the City but still on the tram network. Watch this space for more news! 1

Nottingham is only for local folk, and seeing as most club members actually live outside the city........

GWC1
Late change to the show line up.... Mr Rail Stuff has broken his foot and cannot now bring his stand to the show. A shame, as we were looking forward to seeing it. We all hope he is back on his feet soon. We have a new exhibitor, Latem Design, who make railway signs. We also have an extra room available, so we can space the exhibits out a bit more.
great central
Just a shameless bump and reminder the show is this weekend, it will be the swansong for the Community Centre where it's being held. There will be bacon cobs with brown or tomato sauce, none of this (apparent) foodie nonsense of marmalade on your bacon!

GWC1
A record turnout for our last show at this venue (the last event of any kind at this venue, in fact) - 19 stands. I have just packed the exhibitors' packs with information sheets, lunch vouchers, badges, etc. It takes quite a while!
Johann Marsbar
Looking forward to coming up and visiting on Saturday as I can fit it in with some photography on NET as well. Will be the first model rail show I've been to for 2.5 years.......

Will be getting there early and parking at Clifton P&R so I can do some photography before the show opens! (as well as after it.....) I normally buy one of their all-day tickets when I visit Nottingham - I certainly get my moneysworth out of them.....!

Les1952
A reminder to anyone like me with a NOTTINGHAMSHIRE bus pass that unlike the city's part and ride buses Nottinghamshire bus passes give free travel on the park and tram- so if you qualify you can use your nearest park and tram site to get a tram to the venue for free.. Park and ride buses are free to city-issued bus passes only, but the County Council part-funded the tramway so our bus-pass holders get free park-and-tram. If your bus pass is issued from outside the county- tough...... Hoping to get there Sunday. Les Edited February 25, 2022 by Les1952 typos...

great central
Just brought in the mags I've had in 'free to a good home' thread. A small donation to club funds would be appreciated, but any remaining will either go in the bins here, be left for the demolition people, or go for recycling on Monday. They won't be going back into my garage! Edited February 25, 2022 by great central Add photo
