Shoey
Just wondering if anyone has taken delivery of these yet? I don’t really want to order one until I’ve seen the colour

RMweb Gold big jim Posted October 25, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 25, 2021 Very nice, I drove that loco from didcot to Doncaster the day it came out of the paint shop, by the time I got to Birmingham I had a hell of a headache and was probably high as a kite off the paint fumes, well I didn’t think I was high off the fumes but the leprechaun sat in the 2nd mans seat kept telling me I was boy was she shiny though 4 1
chris37422
If of interest I also received Cappagh 60028. Not sure what it is about the livery but I do rather like it! 3
Matt
Did the instructions that came with it have Class 31 instructions printed on one side and Class 60 the other - my Colas and DB ones from last batch both did…?

Simon Bendall
60095 isn't completely error free though, the three overhead line flashes on the single grille side are all printed too high. Should be beneath the orange band not on it. Its right on the two grille side

Having just taken delivery of 60095 - yep. And the detail pack only includes slotted deflector plates - so useless if you want to fit full buffer beam detail without the tension locks. In the words of Radio 5's 606 Chris Sutton "Come on Hornby, you're better than that". It's shame as the 60 is (IMO) Hornby's best ever diesel offering and is still in my top 3, but is in danger of slipping out of contention due to daft QA/QC issues. Matt
I never read the instructions anyway but it does suggest sloppy and it’s obviously been going like this for a while….
