Gopher Posted Tuesday at 07:08 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 07:08 I have a soft spot for Bolster wagons. Loriots, Lowmacs etc, so could not resist Rapido's latest offering. Lovely model which requires weathering.
Gopher Posted Tuesday at 09:03 Author Share Posted Tuesday at 09:03 (edited) I'm plodding on with adding detail to the tank upper hull. Drivers hatch installed, headlights installed, (these will be working lights front and rear, with various lighting options). I have not yet installed the bulbs and fibre optics, that is the next task. Also added the laser etched grills to the engine deck. Gopher Posted Friday at 11:56 Author Share Posted Friday at 11:56 (edited) Front lights installed on the tank but not yet connected. The main headlights are LEDS directly behind the headlight lenses. The combat lights are fibre optic (which connect to a LED in the little connection box visible by the turret opening). Hopefully all will work when wired in to the control unit. I've also started top coating parts for the turret, photo shows the turret top with the pre-shading much more evident. Next task is to add top coat to a few more parts on the sprues, then complete the upper hull assembly. This involves fitting the rear lights, and rear portion of the hull to the hull top. The instructions then recommend wiring it all up to check the R/C functions, sounds, lights etc. Then fixing the upper hull to the lower hull. I think I will then weather the upper hull, before I start building the turret. Edited Friday at 11:56 by Gopher
