apt-e
Morning all, I have been scanning the Rapio model in an attempt to get the nose right for the N gauge e train model. So far, so good. I am also working on making the model powered , maybe as purchased or include instructions of what to buy to do this. Watch this space.... Regards Paul. RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted May 19, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 19, 2022 This looks to be "shaping up" really well but just seeing the cab makes me think of K-9 off Dr. Who - or is just me. I wonder which influenced the shape.. Robert
apt-e
Lol Robert. I've heard K9 and Baboon plenty of times during my time being connected to the train. Gosh, that's 22 years since we started work on the train and the nrm. Lol
Mr_Tilt
And how much more did we do in those 22 years than they did in a similar length of time?
apt-e
A little update. APT-E N gauge major test build 1. No details added, just a proof of concept. Got some extra smoothing and a little re-size on the nose to do. Thoughts please..... All printed in low resolution just for speed..... Bogies are for effect only, and are old pop 1 bogies..... Mr_Tilt
Initially............WOW! 🙂 That looks very promising for sure. Perhaps the turbine exhaust ducts could be a tad taller though?
apt-e
Updated nose. Larger turbine vents. Light holes in the nose and Window.... Still needs a bit more resizing to the cab section. Regards Paul. Edited May 29, 2022 by apt-e 5
