Nearholmer
I’d rather we didn’t, given the generally volatile state of the world.; I’d prefer things to come as nasty surprises.

RMweb Premium Steven B Posted October 31, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 31, 2022 Not often you see a class 73 with a brake tende, even less so with two: Antony Guppy on Flickr. Steven B
Nearholmer
That will be going impressively slowly! Bound for Tolworth Coal Concentration Depot would be my guess. Brake tenders were standard issue on those trains until fitted wagons arrived I think. We also used to see Peaks coming from Brent to Norwood with brake tenders, and I think I recall an Acton to Norwood train with a Western and a brake tender. RMweb Premium Blandford1969 Posted October 31, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 31, 2022 When going onto a column you always need to have visual markers of where to stop the cab opposite depending on which loco and which way round you are. It seems at least at Sidmouth Junction that something extra was done to help drivers, I assume when the class 2's and 3mt tanks were introduced which were brand new compared to the M7's they had for decades before. 16 2
