Martin57
I have a railway in my shed and out into the garden. It is about 20 metres long in all. It is powered by a Z21, which also powers my OO gauge inside. Two of my Heljan O gauge diesels (37 and 55) have very stuttery sound. They were not always like this. The Deltic was fine until I whenever caused a short circuit (points set wrongly) and would then only stutter. Is this an issue with not enough power? Would it happen after overloading the chip with a heavy train? I am very much the novice and would ask your help and advice. TIA.
Trade Member charliepetty Posted March 7, 2021 Trade Member Share Posted March 7, 2021 Not enough power I think, how many amps does the Z21 Push out. Charlie (dckits-Legomanbiffo)
Dungrange
https://www.z21.eu/en/faqs-support/questions-answers Indicates that the Z21 supplies 3 Amps to the track.
Trade Member charliepetty Posted March 8, 2021 Trade Member Share Posted March 8, 2021 Does it do this on the track next to your power feeds from the Z21 ?? If OK there it will need clean track & wheels outside, with every track joint soldered up and more electrical feeds around the circuit. You can loose lots of current through fishplates, especially out doors. Charlie
