xliverpoollad
I am familiar with the recommended ways to dismantle EFE and OOC buses, but now I am facing a new challenge… a Britbus Scania Metropolitan……if anyone who has been down this particular path before can offer some practical advice it would be most welcome. Having removed the two small screws holding the underbody pipework (?) and wheels sets in place, and then lifted out the flat chassis plate, the lower floor /seating plastic casting thus revealed appears to be held in position at the front and rear by clear plastic protrusions from the base of the windscreen and rear window respectively ……. I am very hesitant to try to move these to free the floor unit for fear of breaking them.
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted August 20, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 20, 2020 IIRC you have to prise off the front panel. This has to be done very gently to avoid damaging the panel itself or the windscreen. There is plenty of advice on this on Facebook I would suggest joining one of the groups such as 'Model Bus and Coach' and ask there.
