JCB 3C no.2
They seem to be doing three UK versions all same body with loads , other liveries are North West Gas and Raymond Holland Ltd . The airport bus is superb and the fire engine looks really good ,these are all marketed as Ebro-45 's the Spanish designation when licence built there. Their is also a 'Spar' box van and a drinks truck in beer and cola liveries , plus what I think is a naval police truck , maybe more.
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted August 4, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 4, 2020 The other 1/43 ET6 I have seen is the Malta bus from the Atlas part-work. A lovely model with translucent tail lights as well as the usual clear headlights. I do believe this is also produced by IXO.
fodenway
There are also versions of the wartime Bedford OW G.S. lorry, and a Bedford J5 coal lorry in French and English liveries. They are easy to convert to RHD if needed, and make ideal conversion candidates.
Giles
Not to mention the Sava/BMC in LHD, also easily converted to RHD (Shown here converted, and with a new drop-side body)
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted August 5, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 5, 2020 There's another 1/43 part-work series that although only sold in France includes many British prototypes. That is a series of motor caravans/camper vans. Very good models with about a dozen British models including three Bedfords, a couple of Transits as well as such rarities as a Land Rover Dormobile and a Mini Wildgoose. Most have right hand drive and British registrations with the exception of the Commer PB which although RHD has modern German number plates and the Sherpa with LHD and French registration.

And if you're wondering what you can do with an airport passenger trailer....John Summers Ltd used them to transport workers from the main gates to the different parts of the huge Shotton steel works. Outside shift changes, the tractors would be used to move steel-carrying trailers.

And for anybody modelling B R, they bought a few from British Airways to serve station to ship at Harwich Parkstone Quay. Like the Shotton ones they were Bedford tractor units. Anybody seen a photo ?
37114
The Bedford TK is also available in artic and rigid form and is a lovely model. They are easy to convert to right hand drive and are good models.

Were the John Summers artics from the two austerity bodied trailers built by Roe on Dyson chassis and supplied to Liverpool Corporation in May1942? They used Bedford OXC tractor units. I did see a video of the Shotton ones once.

xliverpoollad
Re Mike Harvey's query last Friday. The two Dyson/Roe trailers quote "... entered service in 1942 .... and were withdrawn in 1944 and converted into canteens in 1945, surviving in this form until 1960 ..." ref Liverpool Transport Vol 4 p154
