No.5 remained in NER livery her entire life until being cut up at Choppington in the early 1950's  NIce subject - just needs the wires - though wires are one of the more challenging modelling projects to make look realistic.  https://www.lner.info/locos/Electric/ef1eb1.php 8
Popular Post Obadiah
35009 Shaw Savil passing Overton Gates. A reworked Hornby black 21C3, with added deflectors, a widened area around the chimney, new smokebox peak and other sundry details. 35009 was the last Merchant Navy to retain the original cab. I just noticed though, no headcode discs, tut tut!
Popular Post Obadiah
BR(S) Push Pull Set 2. A rare thing as it was one of the few piebald sets running on the Southern Region. The trailer is a 'standard' 59' LSWR rebuild. The driving coach began life as bits from many Hornby 59' LSWR re-built parts left over from a 2Nol conversion. Popular Post Ben B
Â It's a bright morning in 1972 in the village of Edenvale, Cumbria. The ex-works Ruston 48ds of the Edenvale Paper Company trundles past the offices, attracting the attention of some of the staff outside on their lunch break. Despite the smart appearance of the locomotive, the tramway serving the mill is due to close later in the year, when British Rail plan to withdraw goods services over their connecting line. Â (A diorama I'm working on at the moment, not quite finished, inspired by the Burneside Papermill Tramway. A close friend lives nearby, and I've been wanting to model the route since finding odds and ends of the line still surviving around the village). MrWolf
Nice job and an unusual source of inspiration. I've been through the village several times on the bike, I'll stop and have a look around next time. Â
