I doubt any of them were ever cleaned in their BR service lives, and they got dirty pretty quickly in the 60s!  This looks about right for 1968/9, when they were being withdrawn.  Pity really because they looked rather smart, if a bit utitlitarian, in the 2-tone green livery when they were new.

Thankyou very much. It's the real sky last night so theres no modelling credit available there! 😂. I managed a quick photo session outside in the last minutes between the sun coming out and it setting.

Your image reminds me a bit of Woking - there was a similar row of shops running alongside the station and station approach. You have some roads with third rail too!
