Up to now I haven’t been overly bothered by the difference between 00 and the ‘wider gauges’ but that track work looks superb.

Damn you,

The light is fading fast but out of the gloom through the tunnel comes a "new" Class 90 fresh from working a Freightliner to Garston. As it stops at the shunters cabin to get instructions onto what road to dispose the loco on Speke Road stabling point I take a hand held long exposure . In the days before digital will the shot come out perfect?  Pre digital very few did, certainly for me . I like this image because its more like my standard level of ability with camera and thinking about it modelling as well :)

With loads and loads of absorbing detail to observe.  Really really nice Captain - even to the name of the loco !!

Naughty naughty, tresspass shot ;)

(Seriously though, that's terrific- you really get the effect of the loco climbing over a summit)

Or... he's simply in possession of full Personal Track Safety qualifications and all appropriate lineside safety requirements are in place to enable the photo to be taken, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations...!

Either way, a terrific picture.

Impossible shot if he’s read the NR rule book, he’d be horizontal in a coma …
