Prime candidate for a reproduction I'd have thought, simple robust design, ideal size for heritage railway use, attractive liveries, modern design but Victorian 'look' and fast enough for main line work, as a pilot for Jubilees, Black 5s, or Royal Scots (or The Unknown Warrior when it's finished), or singly for lighter loads.

I like 2Ps, well proportioned and stylish little things.

Some more views of Holy War working round Avalon Shed, first seen coming off shed and the then two view of the engine taking a train out behind the shed, once early afternoon and then later in the more golden light of the early evening sun.

Blue sky!  Can't be North Wales, then...

Excellent stuff, triggers memories of my late 60s explorations of dead slate quarries in the area on days off from volunteering on the Ffestiniog.

I hope you’ve got stay alives fitted to your locos! 😉

Haha don’t worry the rail heads will be cleaned, but I do fit stay alives anyway 🤗

Phosphor bronze has a more orangy colour so you can keep the rail heads clean and Marcway do it.

Didn’t know that I just get all my rail from the EM gauge society
