Indeed.  The Procurement Manager in Mrs NHN's department likes fancy things (liked - no longer employed by the organisation called Government) and bought the Airport safety crew a top of the range Skoda 4x4.  They had asked for a van.  So when dirty items need to thrown in the back of a van, they instead ruin an expensive car interior.  Worse still, it is used to patrol the runways and taxiways around the place for debris, birds, bits of Boeing etc, and oh how the lane avoidance thing loved it!  The crews eventually refused to drive it after getting into bother several times with the bloody thing, a van was transferred from elsewhere for them!  Did I mention no longer employed.....that was just one of their great 'schemes', any more comment would be inappropriate.

Simple is good when driving.

Less distractions.

Driving is like a full body work out.

Arms, legs, core , eyes  ears  and brain all in use.

Why play a computer game  at the same time?

Believe that a few years ago, multiple alarms Iin different tones were a causal factoring some air accident investigating ns due to the pilots getting distracted.  I think that action n was taken to cancel or reduce a lot of them.

My cars automatic headlights come on at the right time for me so I leave them to it. The auto wipers come on by using the single wipe switch and adjust themselves according to the amount of rain, very useful. The rear socket is handy for the electric tyre pump meaning I don't have to stretch the cable from the front to pump up the rear tyres.
