It also took me 5 hours to drive there last time due to fog... and 5 hours back again.. Just worked out it's £36 each way just for fuel as well.. So heading for £120 with ten hours driving for a day out..... Bear has never been to Warley (I imagine it's a bit like a huge version of Ally Pally) - I recall Alan Gibson (the real one) telling me that if I did go then to go on the Sunday. I know some who drive park up a few train stops down the line and then go the rest of the way by train to dodge the parking fees and bundle trying to get out of the car park. 11 minutes ago, TheQ said: It seems as they can't find a qualified person to replace half of me, they are looking at a school leaver to take that role. RMweb Gold Happy Hippo Posted September 6, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) I'd always go to the Warley show on the Sunday, it's so much quieter. Our usual mode of travel is by train from Wellington (Salop) straight through to B'ham Int and then walk through to the hall. However, the last time was a bit of a struggle as I had bought a reconditioned Proxxonn table saw which I had to carry home. RMweb Gold Happy Hippo Posted September 6, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 6, 2022 I know we sometimes remark on shed totals, but for Andy' s peace of mind perhaps we need to discuss vacuum cleaners. The Hippodrome sports five. Three mains operated, two battery powered. In addition to these, the mains versions deployed to house, garage and workshop respectively, there is also a vacuum for the power tools and a good carpet cleaner. 10
