Popular Post SRman
Some of my photos from Peter's BRMA meeting last Saturday. There was a very good attendance, and a great time was had by all. Thanks to Peter and Leanne for their hospitality. I still marvel at the myriad of fine details Peter has incorporated into Llanbourne. I have had to spread the photos over several posts because of the size limits. 40

Popular Post P.C.M
Hi Jeff, glad you enjoyed the day. Some nice pics too. I didn't take any on the day but took a few Sunday when I went out to run some trains. First up 20121 and 169 work a train from Stoke. These two are Lima models 169 is a dummy and 20121 runs on a Bachmann chassis. Next pic shows some recently weathered VEAs and a recent purchase of a cavalex PFB. Last pic shows 25912 coming into the yard where it will drop off the BDAs for unloading. 42

SRman
I took a few photos of the O gauge stuff too, but they need to go in the relevant thread, once I can find it.

Shot with the buses in is great, remember well the Crosville Cymru Coastliner services. Used to see a few VRs and the like at Flint depot when cycling past in the 80s with one eye on the railway looking to see what 47s would pass on the Eustons.

All the best Thanks Ian, I had 21 peoples turn up luckily the weather was ok and both layouts ran well. I was good to catch up and see the lads and Exford not sure I can make it for the next meet 🤣🤣 it would have been nice if I could have stayed an extra few weeks but it was hard enough going back to work after 3. Trip home was OK just long. Cheers Peter. 3
Popular Post P.C.M
My two Bachmann 25s are still finding plenty of work on llanbourne. 25904 is stabled while 25109 runs LE to Bangor. 31319 arrives on an empty ballast train from Carnforth. Popular Post P.C.M
20121& 20169 leave llanbourne and head down the branch. 33010 Heads for Crewe. 25224 shunts the fuel tanks.
Popular Post P.C.M
I thought while the track was fairly clean and the layout was working well I would run a few trains using the timetable. One of the first trains of the day that can be seen in daylight is the 1M82 from Cardiff. This train consists of a couple of vans and two MK1s providing some passenger accommodation. The train is booked for a class 47/4 but can produce a 37/4 or class 33. As can be seen in the pics 25059 had turned up due to a loco failure near Crewe. A van is removed and one added to form the return working to Cardiff. 34

Popular Post P.C.M
All the talk of the new Bachmann class 37/4 made me put my 37428 on the layout and have a think about do I need to get the newer one. I have another 37417 in the cupboard which I am planning to do as 37427 it will need a bit if work but I think I will stick with my plan of doing that rather than selling it on and buying the newer one. I think with a bit of work the older 37 looks pretty good. 22 1
