Guest Belgian
The Further North you go, the further away from the water the ducks go. Now for a level crossing . . . the nearest duck is severn squares west and four squares north . . . Edited September 16, 2011 by Belgian
RMweb Gold Ramblin Rich Posted September 15, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 15, 2011 The Further North you go, the further away from the water the ducks go. Strangely the duck seems to have crossed the railway on the Streetmap version! (Found it earlier but didn't have time to post then....) the nearest duck is seven squares west and four squares north . . . Now that's both obsessive AND obscure.... and I don't have any idea! RMweb Premium dagrizz Posted September 16, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 16, 2011 This duck is legless, though I don't think it's been drinking the stuff thats produced one square west of this one.
RMweb Premium dagrizz Posted September 19, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 19, 2011 The "stuff" are products from an oil refinery.
Guest Belgian
Clues are a b**ger, aren't they? They give it away! Anyway, my computer wouldn't give me a "four square" image, so here's the proof in two squares: and my next offering is this one, which may be a little misleading . . . Bulleidboy
"and my next offering is this one, which may be a little misleading . . ." ...........the power line ending in the middle of nowhere made me think of a disused power station; it's near the old Richborough site: The duck is back again, to help you find him someone has left a big footprint in the square to the North
Bulleidboy
The duck has a friend in the square to the West - both are in a National Park that doesn't live up to its name in this section!
RMweb Gold Ramblin Rich Posted September 22, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) It's Buckenham in the Norfolk Broads I'll post my image shortly.... Bulleidboy
It wasn't the first "Ditton" that Google threw up, but we're just to the West of Widnes (Vine Yard): How about a golf course instead of a duck?
RMweb Gold Ramblin Rich Posted September 22, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 22, 2011 Seems I accidently posted a 4 squre version at first which is how you saw Ditton.... There's plenty of golf courses around, may take a while....

Not a lot of ducks in this area but we are in the vicinity of a New Town which, despite its infancy, has a connection to the Industrial Revolution!
